Sad Times
Unfortunately with things heading in the direction they are I think I will have to write more of this type of thing than I would like to, but two musicians passed away this past week. Bill Withers who is a songwriting legend died at 81 of heart complications and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne has passed away at only 52 of Coronavirus. I can’t write a proper obit for anyone so I’ll just do my best to share some of their best music.

Many people will only know this band from their smash hit Stacy’s Mom, which was the top music video at a time when that stuff still mattered but this is a solid album throughout. Adam did an excellent job of pairing songwriting with pop chords giving pop songs with much more depth than what is typical. It is a shame he passed at such a young age.
