Beck Goes Clear
Artist Beck has announced that he no longer is a Scientologist, so it sounds like he can finally go clear. He downplayed his involvement with the movement by saying that his father was a Scientologist and he was never really involved. But that sounds tenuous given Scientology’s efforts to court celebrities and the fact that Beck’s ex-wife was also a Scientologist as well. I wonder if we will see some leaks and rumors swirl around Beck in the next few weeks as Scientology has been known to blackmail people to keep them loyal, allegedly.

Bringing Down The Horse - The Wallflowers (1996)

Lead by Jakob Dylan, son of Bob Dylan, this is the second album by The Wallflowers, but with three personnel changes from their fist record, basically a brand new band. Due to the long gap between albums, songs for the album were written over a five year long period by Dylan. The song “I Wish I Felt Nothing” was written about guitarist Leo Leblanc about his battle with cancer, which he would lose shortly after the album’s release. The album is dedicated to his memory and he is featured heavily on the album.
